I am interested in adding a valentini puffer to my 65 gallon tank.
I have a 2 year old coral banded shrimp so he is as big as they get.
Do you think the puffer will still go after the shrimp or would they be ok.
I have no clean up crew and the other tank mates would be a black and white common clown , a lemonpeel angel ,3 green chromis ,1 midas blenny and a royal gramma.
I also have 6 toadstools (only had 2 but they keep splitting) various shrroms and a colony of starburst.

i give the shrimp 5 minutes or until the puffer gets hungry. one way or the other, its gonna end up as a snack. JMO

ok thanks billdog for the quick reply so I will steer away from this fish until the shrimp has gone.

i have a valentini right now and he's tried plucking away at most of my hermits a few times. I haven't spotted him eating pellet foods, but my hermits survived.

i'm thinkin of taking him back somewhere, actually, haha.
