I have an anemone looking creature, clear in color, with white tips growing on the underside of a live rock that is suspended to make a "cave" where my serpent star stays most of the time. Is this aiptasia or something else? It piggybacked in on the piece of live rock(I'm guessing anyway) and has started to grow and even multiply. Thanks for any help!!!

I will try to get pictures up but it is hard to get a good one because it is clear. If I try to pick up the live rock it will retract and then I can't get a picture at all, but I will give it my best.

Sounds like Aiptasia. When in doubt, get it out.

Does it look like this?

If so, then it is a harmless cup coral.

Actually Postal, yes it does look like that! Even if it has started multiplying, is it still harmless, or will it eventually take over the whole habitat?
