Those are hot. So do you actually collect them yourself? I see your from Australia. Or do you just pick them up from local suppliers?

i agree with you all they all are pretty nice, just need a few more colours like yellows and pinks.

tallinu, i dont collect them, its illegal to do so in Australia, and where they are found is about 4000 miles away from where i live. i purchased them from collectors and also local and interstate retailers. they are pretty rare over here and expensive. unfortunately we cannot import corals/inverts so some things we pay more for(shrimps/yumas) and others we pay less(acans/acro)

thanks for all the nice comments, i have some more yumas coming tomorrow from a fellow MASA member here in Aus, will post some more pics up when they have settled in. my tank is starting to fill up so its nearly time to get rid of some of the plain ones.

the oranges were the some of the first nice coloured rics i bought. i now have 8 of them in the flouro colouring, the only problem with them is they take the longest out of all my yumas to heal, grow the mouth back and look perfect.

Dang son those are VIVID.

You personally cant import corals? (from a website for instance). Or the Australian govt. doesn't allow corals to be imported from overseas?

no coral or invert imports allowed into australia by law, nor are tank bred fish allowed in either. only certain species of wild caught fish are allowed to be imported.

collectors here are allowed to export corals and fish, hence why you guys can now get our acans/scolys/duncans etc.

its all about not letting in more pests to take over our reefs, the Great Barrier Reef is something we need to try and keep pristine and this is one way our government tries to keep our reefs healthy/pest free.

as far as i have been led to believe all of my yumas have been collected in Far North Queensland, particularly the beautiful Cairns area.

i have amassed quite a collection in only a small time and the pricing here in Aus is rediculously expensive. but my plan is to propogate them to cover costs and hopefully fund a nice inwall tank in the future.

Thats smart, although kinda disappointing as i may be moving to the gold coast in a few months.

no ric floridas for you

gold coast is a nice spot

alot of stuff here is alot cheaper than you will be paying now, but some stuff is very expensive to what you are used to. blood shrimp $150-200AUD each

have a look at our forums over here in Aus, the users there are very helpful and will answer any relocation questions you may have

Man if they were a little more lax on the importing regulation, this hobby would be a dream over there. Oz is literally surrounded by amazing collection areas. Indo, Fiji, Solomons etc. We are half way around the world.
