ok so i can get one of the blue 55 gal drums for free from my gfs dad that works a dialasys clinic only prob is im not sure about all the chem that was stored in them are "safe" or not. this is what was being stored in them sodium, potassium, calcium, mag, acetate, chloride, and dextrose. so are they safe to use if i clean them out?

about 20 years ago i had the same problem. The barrel i used had photographic developer or fixer in it - can't remember which. scrubbed the daylights out of it - 20 years later - still no problems. the plastic really does not absorb enough of anything to be a major concern. I say go for it!!!

JMO - others will differ, i'm sure!

I imagine that if you used one of the ones that stored calcium or mag in them you will definitely be fine. After all most people have to dose those later lol.

to bad they are all mixed together in one barral
