Hi all. I've been reading the zoa section for a couple of weeks now, and one of the impressions I get are that zoa's can go bad for quite a few reasons at any given time. I have a 8 month old tank with various softies and lps, and a couple of sps. Only two zoa's, AOG's and some green eye's. The AOG's are small and don't spread at all, surviving but not spreading, and this is at various places in the tank. Lit by 2 250 halides. The green eyes were doing great, until a week ago, they began to close up. I've read about the remedies, but honestly I don't want to get a bunch of zoa's if I'm constantly having to remedy situations. I'm a right in this thought process?

Also, a couple of years ago, I had paly's....mostly green, and never had issues with them. There is a difference between paly's and zoa's right? What is the difference. Is it button polyp vs sea mat? Thanks for any help.
