-Are the magnets reef safe long term?

-Since magnets are made of metal, how are these newer powerheads and other products that use magnets to adhere to glass protected from the corrosive actions of seawater?

-Will the pump fail before the seal that protects the metal magnet?

-What would be the worst that would happen if the magnets in these products were exposed to reef animals in a tank long term?

the magnets are covered/sealed so they're not exposed to salt water.

I have had the same mag float for going on 5 years now. No ill effects. They are extremely well-sealed.

I have also used koralias for several years, again, no ill effects.
