Just curious how much water on average others keep on hand relative to their tank size.

Right now I have enough to do a 100% water change in case of an emergency but I'm thinking of upgrading my tanks and I really don't have room to store much more than 50 - 60 gallons.

Only 100 gallons on hand at any moment. That's 20%. Right before a water change I have 150 gallons.

I keep - 30 gallons RO/DI water
and 30 gallons heated SW mixed (I keep a mag5 in there turning the water over

I was told by a hobby chemist who said that mixing less than 30-40 gallons at a time may cause you to miss out on some of the smaller ammounts of minerals in the mix, so I mix 30 at a time.

This is for a 24 gallon display and 55gallon sump - total volume around 60 gallons
