According to the online calculator I need to add aprox 2100ml of Randy's DIY magnesium supplement to bring my levels up.

Can I add this volume to 15 gallons of newly mixed salt water and add it over 3 water changes?

Will it percipitate anything out of solution?

Thanks.

why not ,seems like the right thing to do but you dont want to raise more than 50 ppm per day so take that into consideration.

Yes you can. You should be able to add a max of 100 ppm per day without issue.

That is probably not going to happen in your case. :)

Thanks for the advice but I decided to dodge the issue entirely and I am currently dripping the magnesium into the sump. I am adding aprox 1/3 of the volume I need and it should raise the magnesium between 50 and 100 ppm.
