View Full Version : need help with sick clownfish

Today my clownfish has a couple of white pimple looking things on his side. I am not sure if it is ich or a parasite, cannot help with pictures until tomorrow. Any help would be great

Ich is a parasite. Do the white bumps look like grains of salt or miniature cotton balls? Where are they on the fish's side?

more like grains of salt and they are about the middle of the body

Sounds like ich. Can't know for sure until I see pics. Is the clownfish in a reef tank? If so, you need to get a quarantine tank setup. What other fish are in the tank with him?

He is in a reef tank the olny other fish with him is a yellow watchman which I will probably never catch but he looks ok so far. I will have to set up a qt.
