View Full Version : SiCCE PUMP WATTAGE
According to the description from the manufacture and your websites.. SICCE PUMP draw only 28W of power..
but when i recieved my skimmer,, the label on the pump said 40W...
any idea what's going on here....false advertisement ???

I just got a killawatt in yesterday and hooked it up to my Extreme 200 w/ stock pinwheel and I am only pulling 19 watts.

The Sicce was originally designed to be a water pump which draws around 40w, but when you use it as a skimmer pump by installing a mesh/pinwheel impeller and injecting air, the wattage drops. 28w is about what you'll see with the meshwheel and the pinwheel should be around 18-20w.

my RS pin/w was 19w also.
latest mesh/w is 35scfh at 24w..

so, does the sticker on all the pump said 40w....??

All Sicce PSK-2500 pumps are labeled at 40w that is how they come from the manufacture.

anyway.. i just got my skimmer yesterday...
how long does it take for breakin in....
I need to replace the air intake tubing that came with it.. the tubing is too soft....
Do any of you know the ID on the tube...

3/8 id break-in time varies from tank to tank..

Like Charlie Davidson mentioned the Break in depends on the individuals tank, usually 3-4 weeks for full break in.
