Calcium reactor media comparisons

Has anyone done a comparison study between the popular brands of Calcium Reactor Media. I know some manufacturers claim to have less PO4 and GEO recommends large grain but is there any date available on the chemical purity of the different brands?

I think there are various reviews here and there, but I don't know of any formal studies, off-hand.
