chooseing a skimmer AE tech/aqua c urchin

Hi all,

does anyone have any experience with any one of these skimmers lookin to upgrade skimmer for my 46gal bow with a 10gal sump mixed reef.Was lookin into the sump buddy 40 by AE tech or aquac urchin comes with maxi jet 1200 pump

Post how much sump space you have. Neither of those would be on the top of my list.

I had a AE Tech Reef Devil Deluxe and it was great on my 60g cube. I set it and never had to fiddle with it again but it does take some work to get dialed in. You need to make a tiny adjustment and thenc ome back 2-3 hours later to make another.

You have the space to fit much better skimmers in the same price range.

I am running the SB 40 and like it allot, had an Urchin years ago and was never really impressed.

The SB40 has been a snap to dial in as long as you have a stable water level, truly is set and forget.
