oct. ext. 160

Just put my extreme 160 in the sump... water level is at around 9 inches... skimmate is good...

however, the Pump is horribly LOUD...

I'd ran an old octopus NW150 in there before, and it was much quieter.

am i one of those that got a bad pump or so.....


i've read multiple threads regard to this SIcce pump being out of balance...

any tips would help.....

A small mod to the pin wheel impeller may need to be done in order to allow the pin wheel to rotate properly upon start up and may cause the pump to vibrate causing noise.

still the noise is terrible...


any other advice would help...
