I bought a yellow toadstool about 3 weeks ago. It is leaning over as if there is light coming from the bottom of my tank. In the day it will try to stand up again, but never all the way. The polyps will extend out every day or two, but never as open as I see at the fish store. I noticed at the base of the stalk, it is brown. Is this brown color dead tissue? Should I cut it before the whole thing goes brown? When I bought it, I did see some brown color but thought that was algae growing on it. It was standing up straight and fully extended at the fish store.
