Xenia sweepers

I have encountered a little problem with one of my xenia's, There are two sweepers that are 2x or 3x longer that the rest of the coloney and are occasionaly touching my other corals and do not want to risk them being damaged by this.. so my question can they just be cropped down or will it affect the rest of the coloney??

xenia shouldnt damage other corals, at least in my experience. if you want to trim it just take a scaple or razor blade and cut it off. mount it or toss it. mounting is easy and there are a number of posts on info on how
