Is there any reason you shouldnt run gfo and carbon in a single reactor? I just set up a TLF phosban reactor with about 1/3 Rowaphos and 2/3 Carbon. Does anyone else do something similar with good results?

There might be others but i think one concern would be that one might outlast the other. You would have to switch both when only one is exhausted.

Good point, but the carbon is on top so I could change that without changing the Rowaphos media. How often should carbon be changed out?

I do it in my BRS reactor. and it works well and in the directions they show you how to do it. Good luck

I have read different opinions about carbon, some say it is exhausted in 24-48 hours-others say 1-2 weeks. Either way it is changed much more prequently than GFO.
