250 for your tank huh.. lol it should do ok.. lol about a 100gals in your system.. I just ordered the same but for a 220gal DT and 75Sump maybe 75 fuge as well who knows

thanks for all the comments guys, the reson I went with this one, is becuase it has two pumps, if one goes out, I can have the 2nd on order, + I have me and my brother bought skimmers from rob before, he replaced both of our pumps that went out in about a month of use, without question... so he has my loyalty + the price of this thing... can't beat that! with a possible 100SCFH(with two pumps)... best damn bang for your buck.

Because a skimmer that is far oversized wont work as well as one that is properly sized. There is not enough organics in the water column for it to build up and keep a good foam head. You wind up skimming less than a smaller skimmer.

Thats my $0.02.

I have a MSX250 on my 180 and even with
running the pinwheels it sems a bit oversized.

One pump wont work well. You will have to have the wedge pipe almost all the way closed. The 5.5" neck wants more air than one pump.

Why not get a 200 instead?

The bubble plate is a split design so that it can be removed from the skimmer for cleaning. There is a screw that holds the 2 BP halves in place.

It looks like FedEx had a kickball tournament with your skimmer, although it appears that nothing is damaged. Let us know if there is anything broken.

FedEx has not been too friendly to us lately. Maybe we are not living right or we have bad karma...

The simple solution for you is to get a bigger tank!

yea so did you get my email rob? They couldn't explain through 10 emails why it went from Ohio to Kentucky to NJ.. I think fed-ex will kick my fish everytime i get a delivery ;)

and mine arrived in tact with no issues and been running since tuesday

had it running in almost pure white viniger for 2 days(some water), but it in last night at 12AM, been running 8hrs and 2 mins.

for those of you saying I could not pull skim... :uzi:

brandon in woodstown NJ. lots of tape of the box.. and i like that the little box was taped to the top.. very nice:D :thumbsup:
