what is the difference between a zoa and a paly. i am pretty new them?

In general, Zoas grow in more of a mat, and Palys are usually more individual polyps clumped together.

Palys have sand in and on the outside of the stalk. Zoas do not.

Palys are also bigger and seem to have longer stems.
