Does anyone have an ECO Mini. I am getting one next week to upgrade from my 10 gallon. Just want to see other people's setup.

Ohhhh! I've seen one before; they seem to be not very well built.

I like the small MH pendant and the cooling fan but I was not impressed with the build quality.

Well I got it used it cost me about 1/4 of the cost new. I did not get the light for it because the guy wanted an extra $100 for it. Plus I also have a 150w HQI Current Sunpod from my 10 gallon. I am working on transferring everything. It seems like a good tank. Would like a little more room in the back but it is not bad. Will defently have to upgrade the pump in it.

Did not relize no one had these. I wonder if it is because of the price. If you get a new one they are like 1,000 - 1,200 buck. I paid a whole $300 w/ stand.

Not a surprise from a company that charges $30+ for a small container of "mud". It doesn't look like much more than a modded Aquapod.

I Have the 14G version. I like is so far. I did have to upgrade the return and added a koralia nano.

I won mine in a raffle and couldn't find anyone on here either that had the system! They are expensive....

:)

I'd post pics but my card reader on my computer went out on me :(

Here's the thread:

Ohh... I also upgraded the fan in the hood. That thing was LOUD! So I went to Fry's electronics and bought a 3-speed fan that is awesome. during the winter I have it on the same timer as the MH set at the lowest speed and it keeps it at 77. When the temp gets higher I will just set it to a higher speed!

theres a thread here on rc where a guy got an aquapod and cut off the top of the rim along the tank and it looks exactly as the elos tank minus the cover where the fan is. it's a heck of alot cheaper to do that.

I need to change the LEDs in the rear because two of them are out. I am just going to get these little LED blobks I saw at Home Depot. I have two Koralia Nanos in there but I will probably upgrade one of them to the Koralia 1. I need to see if I can find a pump that will fit in the back to upgrade that.

here's a few pic of a bio cube rim removed from the bio cube itself. looks exactly like the tank you're talking about.
