Hello all. I've got a 24g nano basic reef setup. Its been set up for about two years but to be quite honest I've neglected it big time for the past 2 months...just doing basic top offs, zero water changes (I know I'm sorry). Anyways, I've been working on it and things look great. I scraped literally a wall of encrusted coraline off the viewing glass, replaced some filters, did some water changes and I have to say everything looked great! Corals have been flourishing, hermits, shrimp all doing fine. Unfortunately hair algae and bubble algae are also...flourishing. The black plastic back panel is COVERED in bubble algae...looks like that balloon wall of that "throw the dart" game at carnivals. Theres also thick hair algae. I've done water changes, checked water parameters and changed the bulb in my 150M HQI. I read the thread on API's new chemical product for hair algae and might try that. I know my bulb was very old and the spectrum could have allowed algae to thrive...will the new one burn it off? And what the hell can I do about the bubble?

Thanks for any help all.
