Sorry, but the 36'' x 4 bulb Tek 5 unit is all I can afford right now. I hope it is a really good upgrade from my POS Nova pro extreme. My ? is. I need to decide what bulbs to get for this thing. Was told by a reef brother on RC to ask for GrimReefer on this part of the site. (my stomping grounds are more in the new to the hobby area) My brands of choice from my LFS are ---Power Chrome, Giesman, UV. What are the best of these and what type of bulb of which of these brands am I after. I like some blues in comparison to say (lab room white) lights. Thats what my nova gives off for light. (boring white) This light w/o a fan is going to take life out of the bulbs than if they were to run cool with a fan right? How much time can I get out of these bulbs if I don't do a mod w/ a fan? Tell me this is a decent upgrade from were I am at. I know its no ATI. Thanks for all the help.
