I currently have a Super Skimmer 220, which I think is under sized for the job. For some reason I just don't get the vortex of bubbles I need. Long story short I am in the market for a new skimmer, with almost the same foot print as this one. Tank specs are at the bottom, and I have a few LPS and SPS coral, but I am planning on adding alot more. Any suggestions?

here is a couple links to some skimmers. I am using the Tunze 9460 now and it has the new Tunze pin wheel pumps and they are dead quiet but on my 12" body they are not pulling advertised air. As with all things tunze though they are working through it and I am 100% sure it will work as advertised by the time they have worked the bugs out. The pumps will be amazing. The pumps as they are right now should work very well on the smaller body dia....that's what makes me think these 2 skimmers should kick bu**. The drain tube is kind of cool in that it has a filter sock you can carbon or po4 media to instead of haveing to run a seperate reactor.

or this one is a bit bigger and double the price. The 9420 will work on a system ranging from 520ish gal - 160gal depending on the bio load.

Here is a tried and true skimmer that I would be very comfortable in recommending. This would probably be my first choice if it fits in your sump. Will skim very well and is a pretty good value and like Tunze you will never have to worry about customer service or support.

oops, Tunze links don't work but you can go to the tunze site and search for the 2 skimmers. Product models are 9410 and 9420
