A little over a month ago a Torch Coral of mine caught brown jelly infection and it wiped it out in about a day. I removed the coral, preformed a water change, and added activated carbon.

All seemed well until this last thursday when I noticed my xenia was heavily infected. I removed the bad stocks and sucked the area clean. I did the usual and added AC and gave it some time. Today I noticed a smaller stock of xenia near one of the removed stocks was also infected.

What I would like to know, is there a way to get rid of this so that it never comes back? And are my methods about all I can do?

Here are some shots to help you get a better idea-

A freshwater dip will kill it. However, xenia won't tolerate that dip. Euphylia and most lps will but not sps. Suck it out and take infected specimens out of the tank. If one head of a euphylia has it, cut it off and dip the rest of coral.Brown jelly is a protozoan mass that starts eating dead tissue from a wound and just moves on and on. If it blows around it can infect many other corals

My frogspawn got infected with brown jelly. Luckily I was able to frag the infected heads (2 of them), and rinsed the main colony in some tank water in a bowl. Its been 3 weeks, and the frogspawn looks fine.
