Im trying to drill a few holes in my glass aquariums, 1.75"(1 3/4").

Would a 1.77"(45mm) Diamond drill bit work? Seems to be the closest size from these Hong Kong guys.

Oh and the drill bits are from Hong Kong. Is that legal to buy from them?

45mm will work. See if they have 44mm - that would work even better for the standard 1" bulkheads. 45mm will just give a bit more extra space.

I used the 45mm bit.. Worked fine but a shade on the loose side.

I got mine from Ricontools.com.. No legal issues that I know of.

got an email from the hong kong drill bit guy, saying he shipped it today.
I really don't want any trouble. Ive never bought anything internationally but this is what he wrote on the box for customs apparently.

"customs declaration form marked "gift with no commercial value"."

is that the standard for customs? Sounds a little suspicious to me.
I bought 2 glass drill bits. $10.70 total

That is not legal, but it is what lots of people do so you don't have to pay any extra taxes on it.
