The top of my tank has two foldable glass panels. I don't have a hood. Over the last year the glass has developed what I'd call "salt etch". I've tried removing it with vinegar, then "Lime-a-Way" with little success. Does anyone have an idea of what to use or is it too late? Thanks.

hi, how long do you leave the glass in vinegar?, dont use limeaway i dont trust it, maybe a razor blade could work just scrape it off, i have heard that calcium buildup might damage the glass...hope this works out for you

Razor blade if necessary. Vinegar should do the trick. I've seen vinegar clean EVERYTHING from a tank. Might need to scrub in the vinegar with something a bit more abrasive.
