I picked this guy up about four months ago, and since then have seen him only three times (always when the lights are out.) This morning he stayed out just long enough for me to grab the camera and prove that he's still alive.

His claw tips were black when I got him...I'm not sure what's going on with that.

No doubt -- but I frequently look at the tank after the lights are out, and very rarely see him. Just wish he would show himself more often!

I saw one of them at the store the other day. Wasnt sure how safe they were, but, if they hide too, then darn, there no more good than my hiding emeralds, lol.

Safe as far as I know. I haven't seen that he's caused any problems. In fact, when I saw him this morning, he went right past a napping foxface and didn't bother him.

I had one of those. The tips of the claws aren't black because he just molted. They will darken up again. I got rid of mine, because I never saw him even after I put him in a 20 gallon!

...just a shame to waste such good looks....

Still, it's nice to see him once in a while.
