Quick Question
I'm about to start the plumbing on my new 100 gallon. I was thinking of going flexable PVC over rigid so I would have a little room for adjustment in the future. Is this a wise choice? Does flexable attach to Sch 40 fittings? Where does one buy flexable PVC at?

Not sure about flexable PVC, never heard of it. Perhaps you are meaning spaflex which a lot of folks use and can get at Lowes/HD. I use flex hoses for the ability to change things easy. If you know how things will be plumbed for a long time with no changes hard plumb (PVC) would be best IMO.

I got my flex PVC from Ace. My local HD didn't carry it. And, yes you can use standard sch40 fittings with it. ;)

The Spa-Flex makes it much easier

i ordered mine from www.flexpvc.com only cause i needed some special fittings as well.....

savko has a much better price on it, but they only carry the white, whereas flexpvc.com has it in black & grey too

I like to hard plumb my in with a couple unions. To me it looks a lot cleaner and i can get it in black.

One thing when using flex pvc, is make sure you use the correct glue. You want to use the flexible pvc glue or the wet or dry/ red hot glue. It is not as big of a deal in smaller sizes, but with the larger diameters the joints do not seal as well with the normal pvc glue.
