is it true that if I want to seed my base rock with my new very colorful full of different colors alage and sponges etc...it is good to give the tank more actinic periods...I was told that coralline algae loves actics more than daylight...even though i have a 20k but the radium 20k is not as blue as others.
I ask because I run actincs 1-10 and mh 2-9 so only 1 hour before and 1 hour afer daylight..should i leave more time the actincs...if so how much more?

Thank you

Really if you're not in a hurry, I would just mix them together and pretend that it's all live rock. Eventually you're just going to forget the difference, and it's all going to look the same after a while.

does this really work? I have some old rock that I let dry out... If I mix it with fresh live rock will it reseed?

yes it really works. its an easy way to save money if your budget is tight and you have the time to let it cure.
