algaefix is safe for all corals, but don't over dose, do you have a hospital tank with same water conditions as your main tank? i have a three gallon for that, use less than 1 ml for any tank smaller than 50 gallon and treat the one coral for recommended time or until algae is gone than return to main tank, unless you would prefer to use your main tank it will just take longer to see results.hope i answered you guestion

I wouldn't do it.

Dose the Algaefix to your tank, don't use it as a dip.

Algaefix takes a long time to work. It will not melt and kill algae instant at a higher concentration.

What kind of algae are we talking about?

Definitaley don't dip anything into in the algaefix. Use as directed and it works. It just takes time. But it does work if you take the time and follow the directions. The dosage is based on net water volume (for my tank I was using 1.75 ml every three days). it took several weeks, but it is now under control. I had the green hair algae. You still have to pull the dead algae out of the tank though to keep your parameters in line.

Algae fix is only a band-aid... you have excess nutrients and you'll need to drive them down (more water changes, more controlled feeding, bigger skimmer, etc.).

We need to ensure that we export (water changes, et.) all the nutrients we import (feed) in order to keep nutrients down and not fuel algae growth.
