So i dose like 3ml of kent marine calcium everyday, but my calcium always goes down to low 300s. What do you guys do to maintain high calcium in your sps tanks?

are you using a two part alk/ca dosing method or just calcium?

Using a two-part mixture helps to maintain the balance between calcium and alkilinity, once you have the two established at the desired levels. See: http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2007-04/rhf/index.php

A good place to get two part supplies (plus magnesium) is Bulk Reef Supply. See: http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/Two-Part-Kits/c52/index.html

ive read that anyone that uses aragonite as base to their sand bed as i have....dont have to worry about their ph dropping below 7.4....and of course as you know akalinity is proportional to the calcium level...my level doesnt ever drop below 380..so when i do notice its low..i dont have to dose much to get back to square....so to speak. Im currently in the process of setting up a calcium reactor to solve all my alk/ calcium issues.

I dont dose anything....Just do 2 waterchanges a week with Tropic Marine Pro salt.

I only have SPS in my tank..about 20-25 pieces....

You also have to look at your mag levels.

I use randys two part. Super cheap; super effective.

Just keep up your weekly water changes with some good salt, seachem is what i use and also dose kalk through the automatic water top off.
