I was feeding the fish tonight and my clown ran off after a piece of mysis and ran right into my black longspine urchin. He was acting pretty funny for a while, his breathing got much quicker and he started hiding a lot more, which is abnormal for him.
I had to go to school about 20 minutes later and hoped he wouldn't die. When I got back about 3 and a half hours later he was completely fine. He's still got a scare where he was stabbed (on the right side of his mouth, I think part of the spine is still actually in his body) but he's acting completely normal. Swimming around having a great time with the other clownfish.
I'll update tomorrow and maybe within the next couple of days if anything happens.

Well, right now the clownfish is acting completely normal. He's got a cool looking scare on the side of his face and I saw him trying to eat a piece of floating debris. I think he'll be alright. If I get a chance I'll take a picture of his wounds tonight or tomorrow.

My large hippo gets stung by my long spine urchin (about 6 inch spines) all the time. I can tell because there is a small black spot around a pale circle. It lasts a couple of days and heals like nothing happened.

If there is some of the spine stuck in him it should work it's way out in the coming weeks.

He should be fine :) Just keep a close eye on the wound
My Perc gets cut up by my Tang every great once in a while....the clown gets a little too goofy near the Tang at feeding time....The Tang apparently wants none of that :)

I have a stars and stripes puffer that has stabbed himself pretty severely a couple times. The first time I freaked out since he had multiple spines sticking out of his eye, and more out of his mouth area. Under suggestion from some people I just left him alone, and he was fine. He stuck himself again a few weeks later and again was fine. They are tough animals and from what I understand those spines dissolved quickly in seawater. Good luck to your fish!
