I've found a baby frogspawn, I think, floating around. What do I do with it. Can I glue it to a frag plug or will that kill it, it doesn't seem to have a skeleton.

ive seen those in my tank before they dont really seem to be babies just pieces of frogspawn that fall of it will die or get blown away. I personally would disregard it

If you want to keep it, I would reccomend getting some type of plastic container (Soda bottle has workd well for me in the past) and put it in there, and allowe it to grow until a skeleton shows, then you can put it where ever you would like

I've had mine drop babies, but it usually will have a small bit of skeleton that can be glued in place.

Sorry to hijack the thread but I just have a simple question about a frogspawn. I picked up a frag with three distinct heads. It's skeleton is in a sort of Y shape with the largest head on one branch and the 2 smaller ones on the other. Can i cut the skeleton to break them up if I wanted? Also, does the skeleton get wider or just keep growing upward?

You can cut the skeleton, just make sure you don't cut the flesh.

I've found mine grows mostly horizontal but some vertical.

update on the little one: he didn't make it. Just started to dissolve away. Maybe I'll have better luck next time. Thanks for the replies.

That sucks. I had the same thing happen to a few hitchiker polyps that noticed too late.

I thought frogs grew more horizontal too but this one looks like a tree branch. The skeleton to the largest one is about 4" tall maybe 2" thick
