Pistol shrimp and watchman goby pair in a bb tank?

I had a pistol shrimp until he was lost in my house move, and he would collect little peices of debris/rock/shells to make a little burrow. Seemed happy in my bb tank. I'd like to get a goby/shrimp pair, would they do the same thing or would I be better avoiding them unless I want to have a sand base.

i wouldnt bother unless you put some substrate in your tank.
