I currently use oceanic salt mix and i used it to fill my 155 which is still cycling but i hear a lot of people who have good results with IO salt mix. Would there be an issue switching? i need to get more salt this week so i was thinking about making the change

i would say no.....this will be one of those things that are debatable just because.some will say theyve had issues and badmouth......well thats where they lose me.ive used oceanic,IO,and oceanpure simply because it was either what was cheap,or was all that my lfs had.NEVER an issue because of salt.if you ask me it would take the salt mix being VERY off in order to do any real damage to a tank.........(other than maybe nanos)

just my opinion.

ok thanks, then maybe I will just stick with oceanic salt. It seems to be working for me, I just through it out there to see if there was a difference.

IO must be dosed for reefs. There is some great info in the Reef Chemistry forum on this. I am switching from IO to Reef Crystals for this reason.
