it's grown rapidly within the last week, and starting to spread to other rocks. What will get rid of this or is any concern?

gonna need more than that. What size tank is it?

I have at least a couple dozen bluelegs in my 65g.

It appears to be red turf algae. Try searching for "cures" for this type of algae. I would guess thought that the answer will likely be the same as for other nuisance algae, eliminate PO4, No3, feed less, make certain that your light bulbs do not need replacing and introduce CUC meant for algae decimation etc etc... Good luck.

If this is the red turf algae that has been going around the standard answers for nuisance algae has proven ineffective. The onlt thing that really eats it is Mexican Turbo Snails.

It actually looks like both cyano and red turf, but I can't tell for sure.

If its red almost purple, looks kinda neat really, it will take over your whole tank. I got some from a rock that I got and it literally took over my whole tank, smothered everything, and nothing would eat it. I would keep taking the rocks out and pulling and scrubbing. It'd just come back over and over.
I tried no nutrients. I took the two fish I had out. It was a fairly new set up as well thankfully. I tried extended darkness to no avail.

Good luck. I eventually had to do a complete tear down, and start over. I tried for a long time to beat it, this is without fish even. Just seeing it now, it does look like it, makes me cringe.
