Trying to determine if a mce600 will fit on the back of one of these, and I can't find a solana locally to take my skimmer and test it on. Can someone who owns one please give me the dimensions of the largest section of the equipment area? Specifically looking for the width. Thank you.

Well there are 3 chambers back there, the ends, 1 and 3 are angled, and middle, 2 is square/rectangle.

The 2nd chamber, middle, is 5" wide. 1 and 3 at the widest part are 6 1/2" wide and 5" at the smallest.

Something like that.

Welcome. Why are you going with a MCE600? I've not heard of it?
Have you seen the Sapphire Aquatics Nano Skimmer for the Solana? It is made for chamber 1 of the back of the tank, fits in perfectly, and is a top notch skimmer, quiet and produces good skimmate.

If I remember right someone had a MCE600 on thier Solana I think the user name is easycompany. Might want to check the other nano message board if you can tolerate the clowns.

Hope this helps
