Does anyone grow this in their fuge?

I've noticed it costs a small fortune for the freeze dried stuff ($9 for .24 oz -_-)

Apparently this is fantastic macro algae for tangs. I was just looking into if it was possible to grow it in my fuge.

If so would I have to remove my chaeto? And is there any special requirements for this algae? Chaeto I just throw in the fuge and turn on my Spiral CF Light and it grows like crazy :p

I believe this has to be tumbled in order to have any success with it. I have a small amount in my fuge....doesn't really seem to grow, but it hasn't died either. I don't have it tumbling.

I used to grow it in my fuge, and what lilalove pointed out about the tumbling was the main difference from chaeto that I saw. It grew pretty well for me, but not as fast as the chaeto. If I'd added a little more flow to the sump, I think I would have had better success.

I have it growing in my sump and yes, tangs and herbivores absolutely love it.
