question about using the 2 part calculator

sorry if this is really a stupid question but the calculator says that i need to add 80 ounces to raise my mag. is this 80 ounces of the magnesium sulfate/chloride powder or 80 ounces of the solution after its already been mix, so 80 ounces of power or 80 ounces of mixed water? also using brs
