its shedding its skin, some if not all of them do it, i have a big toadstool and every so often it sheds it skin, it will take some time to recover but its definetly not dying, i can see polyp extension, good luck and keep up your water parameters...

Thanks.
Its been like that for a month, never seen it stand up straight.
Is that still normal?
Sorry even with polyp extension that sacrophyton looks very sick. They don't flop over to shed and don't get rotty looking near the base. I can't be sure from lthe picture but i f that tissue on the stem is mushy, remove the coral. A sick sacrophyton can be quite toxic and ruin a tank. If it is mushy in spots it will die unless you frag it. Simply cut it an inch or two ahead of the rotty tissue. Do this outside the display tank since it will leak toxic matierial into the tank.

Dude, I'd get that thing out of the tank pronto and cut your loss it is almost dead. Make sure you check your water paramiters to maybe find out why it died and if your water chemistry was the reason.

i will agree only way to save some of it is to frag outside the tank.
