Does anybody know why my toadstool hasnt opened up?

I've had my leather toadstool for about 6 months now. I really haven't seen the polyps come out to the fullest. This is the most I've seen it come out. Here's a photo. I bought it from a friend and when he had it, it was opened to the max. I have similiar lights to what he had(MH). Im not sure what I'm missing. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

It might be those LPS coral on both sides. Just enough irritation.

How much flow do you have on it? Too much flow or direct flow will also keep the polyps from coming all the way out also

The hammer frags were just placed there. Theres about a good 1.5 - 2" in between them. I have medium flow on it. Not direct. Im not sure if it needs more flow. Does it like alot of flow?
