I woke up to the horrifying sight of my mimic tang in the claws of a huge sally light foot I have, its eyes had been eaten of the head (you could see right through).
The other week I woke up to see the carcus of one of my coral banded shrimp floating around.
Now, is it possible that this crab could really kill a fish? Its about 3'' long, if you streched its legs out it would be about 5-6"
Do these crabs start to kill stuff when they get big?
They have such a kind sounding name.

any crab is an opportunistic eater, especially when they get larger. My guess is that the fish was already dead or on the way out. How has it been acting lately? The shrimp is a more likely victim. However, with a crab you never know. IMO the crab should be removed, especially with your description of "huge"
