I got a yellow with pink tip millie about 5 days ago and I have not yet seen much polyp extension. Does it take a while for them to acclimate. All the rest of my corals are doing find and have good PE. I have it about mid height in my tank with a decent amount of flow

Can you post a pic? I had one pink milli and the polyps were not very long but my yellow milli had huge polyps.

Could it possibly be getting too much flow? I moved my rose Milli out of the high flow area into a moderate flow area and it's done much, much better.

I would just give it some more time. I just transferred to my new tank about 2 weeks ago, and my yellow milli is still showing poor PE.

more light

my yellow and green millie sits right on the top and is getting smoked from all directions by random flow...

my experience with millies is tonnes of light and flow...

PS as strong as they are against other corals, they dont stack up worth of peanut against a BTA..:(

when I first got it, it took about 3 weeks before the polyps really started to come out, so if it doesn't start looking better, I may move it to a different area.

Anyone else agree that millies like a alot of flow and light cause that may be the cause it is not in a high flow or highlight area

Im having the same problem with my green milli but I have had mine in my tank about 6 months and has doubled in size since I have had it but polyp extension is minimal at best even in the evening. I have mine half way up and have a power head pointed right at it. I can tell that the polyps had extended since I pointed the power head at it but its still not so hot.

My millies used to have less polyp extension before I added more flow
