How do you get rid of cyano alge?

lower the phosphates by using rodi water, cut down on feedings, rinse food, and keep up with water changes. (and vaccum it out on water changes)
increase flow. Cyano does not like oxygen. Add a powerhead or redirect them to cut down on dead spots.
Increase oxygen levels. Aerate WC water for a few hours, and ensure you have a ripple on your water surface.
