so i was looking to make a tiny reef set up on my counter and was wondering if the
Current 12" PowerBrite Lighting System 2-10K/2-460nm actinic LED's would be sufficient to keep
corals?

currents webcite claims about 50-60watts worth of light per 1watt light. so i guess 4 LEDs per strip should be more than enough for a 5.5g tank.

just wanted to get some info from the lighting gods here

Not even close.

Currents claims are laughable.

Helloe burrito,

I am a newb, so take this with a grain of salt, but when looking through the forums I found this which might help with your lighting issue:

"It is a light from http://www.catalinaaquarium.com. I searched a while for something to replace the 18w PC light I had. I didn't want too much more light, but did want more actinic and a bit more light in general; this was a good choice. It is the 12in 13W 2 BULB COMPACT LIGHTHOUSE HOOD... for $39.00 you can't beat it." -spsfreak

Hopefully that will help you out, if you have more questions about lighting, I would try to find other pico build threads and see who has had success with what.

Hope that helps!
