should be ok... if you want you can put it on some 2x4 or 2x6 to help disperse some weight. i got a friend with a 90gallon on a 3rd floor apt in san diego.

each gallon is around 8lbs so if u multiply 80x8 thats 640 lbs just in water weight.. Now the water volume will be less then that because if you choose sand it will replace water but rocks which can get heavy might be more then 8lbs depending on how much you put in. Plus add together the tank, stand, sump weight you have.

It should be ok but you can always have someone come and look to see if it will be able to support it in the location you want. never can be to safe

Should be fine, I had a 210G tank and I live on the 2nd floor, just took it down for a smaller 100G tank. Not in the States though so construction standards may be different. But you should be fine.

yep good to go.. I had my 100 plus 60 gal sump (about 1/2 full) for over 5 years.. no issues..

And if your really concerned, you can always put it along an exterior wall. With how my apt is i have a perfect location along a exterior wall(load bearing) which will be fine. I have my 125g plus 40a sump and 40g worht of topoff and fresh salt doing just fine.

Im on the second story, and most appartments dont allow anything over 40 gallons around here, not because of the weight but risk of water damage. At worst and you dont get prior approval might loose your deposit... I would be more concerned with the tank leaking, breaking, splitting a seam before the floor collapes.

Also bathtubs, I believe depending on when the building was built I would imagine the tubs were designed in the contruction of the building to hold that extra weight. But im no contactor or builder or anything just making an assumption.
