I have a Tunze 6100 and some of the wires are exposed where they enter the motor block. What would be the best way to reseal the wires and will water entering through the wiring cause a problem. The pump seams to work at this point

I would replace the motor ASAP. Innevitably water wicks down the wires into the driver and causes more expensive damage than just replacing the motor.

Yes, I know the problem, the water wicks back down through the cord and will enter the driver, I have seen this before. It is best to replace the motor. Right now the repair would cost about $75, to wait any longer would add $92 to that when the driver gets wet. It usually takes 3-4 months for the water to wick down the cord. The cord has a string in it and 5 wires so capillary action carries the water over time down the full length.

I am curious how it does not cause an issue inside the motor itself?

It can but the wire connections are all potted under polyurethane and this is less likely as a result but I have seen it happen.
