how much ammonia during cycle?

Hey guys,

Just got our new tank up yesterday, took an ammonia reading just now and its at 0.6ppm. How high should it be?

I believe our last tank only went up tp 0.3ppm.

i think its supposed to go up way more than that and when its back down to zero in about 3 weeks to a month then ur cycle should be done

There is no set number it is supposed to reach. All you have to watch for is a rise and then a fall back down to zero.
