250A cone water level

where should I put the water level on the 250 A cone. The cone is presently in 7.5 " of water with the wedge pipe wide open. How long does it take to break in?

We are finding that the cones are working better in shallower water. I would look for about 6 inches if you can.

The skimmers can take up to two weeks to fully break in.
