Noticed the flow from my pump was low, and this was why. I recently sent both my korallia 4's in to get replaced, and am using a sump pump in the display for a powerhead. some how this star got too close. that is weird because he never goes up there. hope he comes back. He's crawling around. And stars are supposed to be able to regenerate.

I thought I always heard that linkia stars do not regenerate like other stars. I'm sure someone that knows better than me will chime in though.

i wouldn't say he's toast. people say they are super hard to keep too. mine has lived 1 year + without problem, until now. just like everything else they need a good environment for the best chance of survival.

I hope it turns around for you, but most of these stars whither away and end up looking like that. Maybe all that damage is from the pump and it'll recover, but I can't say it would be my expectation. Good luck in any case!

1 year just means he made it through the first hurdle (acclimation). The second goal comes around the 18 month mark. That is when you know you are doing something right. Most starve between a year and 18 months.
