Thats what I call stray current!!!! J/K....

Those skirts are insane!

Not a bad job for your first frag attempt. The rastas look a bit ticked, but look like they will be fine with some heling time.

The current is funny where the colony is located, sometimes the skirts are straight up like the pic but sometimes to either side.

Nice job fragging they are already open so they should start to grow and start another little colony soon.

Thanks,I hope they do well, the others have been fully open since yesterday, the rastas are opening but don't look too happy yet.

I have had a good bit of interest in people wanting these frags, how long should I wait before attempting to ship these?

Rasta's have been known to not do well in shipping. Which is why I will only get them locally.

I had mine shipped to me via USPS Priority and they did fine, the Tubbs Blues didn't do so great and havent multiplied much at all in a year(maybe 1 or 2 babbies)but not much. The rastas started out with I think 5 polys.Anyway, about the shipping on any of the frags, how long should they heal before shipping? If anyone is local, naturally I'd rather do that but that is not always an option.

I wait a min of a couple weeks if I was to ever ship. I don't want something to die on someone and ruin my REP.

When I used to sell locally, when there were some polyps that the wanted cut, I would try to dip or cut if off the main colony as clean as possible. I chip the main rock not trying to hurt the polyp mat. and also tell the buyer to re-dip in iodine/lugols/tmpcc. this pretains as well when I give polyps away to fellow reefers and especially newbies.

Ok,now that's what I was looking for. Thanks for helping me out.I haven't sold/traded much as I am slowly building my small reef, but zoas will definatly dominate when complete.I wouldn't frag at all if not to trade for ones I don't have.I know I have got some that weren't even attached to anything(the Tubbs and the Rastas).I glued those myself.I am really appreciative to the people of this forums and their willingness to share their ideas and experiences.

That's what I personally strive for here in RC and especially this forum. I want to pay it foward to all those before met that helped me out when I was starting out.

I meant stray current as in electricity in the tank causing the skirts to stand strait up. Was supposed to be a joke....:D

Knee slapper, huh? I tried.
